This weekend my new garge door would not close. Acted like the saftey beam was blocking the door from closing. I looked for anything that would be a cause for it to not close. Could not find anything wrong. Of course when the man came to check the door out...it closed. He did some adjustment, making it run quiter and lubericated all of the moving parts. Tech Orion was very professional and knowledgeable. I explained my concerns and items I thought needed attention. After examining the door, he answered all my questions and explained what he found wrong, needed immediate attention, and items that could be replaced sometime in the future. We also reviewed the cost to do each of the items and how long it would take to complete. He performed general maintenance on the 9-year-old door, replaced all the rollers and cables in a timely manner. End result was a smooth operating door I am very happy with. The technician Robert Clausen was excellent. He explained everything that was creating the problem with our garage door, and exactly what was needed to correct the problem. He showed me all of the parts he replaced, and why they needed to be replaced. Everything was completed in a little over an hour as he advised it would take. Why did I pick Precision? The local company never answered to the call(s). Their lost! I had an excellent representative arrive on time to fix my garage door. Logan Forsyth called in advance and arrived on schedule. He was very knowledgeable, a total professional, very polite, and respectful. He was well prepared and got to the root of the problem in a very short time. He fixed the wiring issue in a short time and had the door operating once again. He also inspected other items on the door and made several recommendations on possible future issues. I truly appreciated his assessment on what issues may lie ahead. I would strongly recommend Precision doors for your garage door maintenance/service needs! For the last past week or so, my garage door would close and then reopen. At this point, it had become frustrating playing tug of war with the garage door. So, as we all do from time to time, I looked on YouTube to try to fix it myself. I thought I had it all figured out and the door was fixed. However, to my surprise, the next morning, as I am heading to work; the garage door closed and reopened several times. At this point, I knew I had to call someone. When I arrived to work, I called Precision Doors, and they came out the same day. Josh was the technician who completed the service call. He arrived on time and ready to assist. You all know how this part of the story goes. As I’m telling Josh my concerns and closing the garage door for him to witness it for himself; the garage door did not perform to the expectations. Instead, it closed without reopening. I informed Josh that I went on YouTube and tried fixing it myself. Josh smiled and respectfully informed me that the Do-It-Yourself methodology could cause additional mechanical damage to the motor. Since the garage seemed to be working correctly, he said; I think you may have fixed it. At this moment, I felt that I could trust him and the company that he represents because he could’ve charged me for work that wasn’t completed, and I would have never known. Furthermore, Josh is full of knowledge, and it is evident that he loves his job. He enlightened me on preventives to maintain the upkeep of the garage door. Josh educated me on how my garage door should sound, look, and that the garage door was too heavy for the motor. At this moment, he could have tried the upsell technique, but he didn’t. He merely provided me with the knowledge and awareness that I’d soon need to change the motor. Josh asserted that the garage door needed to be serviced. I agreed with him and asked him to complete the services while he was here. He expounded on what the service upkeep entailed and the price. He made me aware of the cost, it was a little over 200 dollars. While Josh was completing the maintenance work, we had the opportunity to chat for a little bit. Josh and I discussed an endeavor that I’m in the process of trying to accomplish. I recently purchased a bus that I will be converting into a space to tutor students in poverty on the weekends for free. During our conversation, I was in and out of other conversations via phone. One phone conversation was me articulating where I’d like the bus towed to ensure the mechanics are in good standing. Josh asked me if I was receiving donations or had any assistance with the project. I informed him that I was paying for all expenses out of pocket. Once the dialogue was completed, I walked into the house. Shortly after, Josh knocks on the door letting me know that he had completed the work. I was about to head back into the house to grab my purse to pay. Josh looked at me, smiled, and said the services completed were free of charge. I could not hold the tears back. In lieu, Josh said; I love your idea, therefore, use the money you were going to pay for the services I’ve provided to tow your bus. Josh’s act of kindness reminds me that there are still good people in the world! I can’t thank Precision Overhead Garage Doors enough for sending him to complete the service call at my home today. His kind heart, knowledge, and understanding made today a great day for me. FYI: the past month or so has come with many challenges and adversity. It has been extremely hard for me. I think Josh recognized that and was able to empathize with me. In conclusion, without any hesitation, I would give Josh and Precision Overhead Garage Doors infinity stars. ?? Jerome looked over the job after I explained what happened with the door. He listened and asked a few questions then made an assessment and clearly explained what he felt needed to be done and gave a few options that could defer some of the work to save a few dollars. You could say his presentation was balanced with the customer needs and the company need for time versus profit. He worked in a manner that didn't sacrifice quality for speed and cleaned up after completing the job. His work ethics and overall performance was a ten, being the highest compliment. If I had a friend or family member who owned a garage door business, I would have called them and recommended they hire him with incentive of more monies and benefits. It is rare today to find such employees as Jerome, that don't mind working hard and care about doing it right the first time.
